What are the origins of LJ Hooker Witheriff Group?

The Witheriff Group was started by me and my mother, Carol Witheriff. We wanted to create a bespoke real estate service. What started as a small family venture has become a team of seven.

Our ability to push the boundaries of what is achievable and how it should be achieved has propelled us to the forefront of the Northern NSW real estate industry.

We still operate with the strong familial values upon which Witheriff Group was founded.

How long have you worked in the real estate industry?

18 years

What areas do you cover?

Kingscliff/Salt and Casuarina Beach.

We love what we do – we love where we live.It gives us great pleasure to assist our clients achieve their property dreams and investment goals.

What changes have you seen in the local real estate market over the past five years?

The Tweed Shire has witnessed substantial growth and changes in the last five years. This has been led by the increased infrastructure and amenities along with a $723.3 million NSW
Government investment in the new Tweed Hospital, which will open in Kingscliff in 2024. We have also witnessed new shopping facilities such as a new Coles Shopping Centre in Casuarina and a new Woolworths in Cabarita Beach in the last few years to help service the growing population.

All of these improvements, along with the increased population has seen the average price of residential homes and land increase over 60% in the last five years.

Our business has continued to enjoy great success for our clients as we continue to welcome interstate and overseas migration into this region.

What do you think has been critical to your success in Kingscliff and Casuarina?

The Witherriff Group are dedicated and motivated, with a humble approach. We are keen to continue learning and taking our service to the next level each year.

What are your views on the current market for Kingscliff, Casuarina and Cabarita?

We are experiencing very positive sentiment in the market again after a challenging 12 months navigating the interest rate environment. We’re seeing prices stabilise in the beachside market, continued growth occurring on the beachfront, and we are expecting big things for 2024.

What do you believe this area has to offer buyers?

Location, lifestyle and modern amenities. We live in an easy to love location with an enviable lifestyle and a great opportunity for active retired folks and young families. We have wonderful schooling, health facilities and lots of activities outdoors.

What are your favourite things to see and do in Kingscliff, Casuarina and/or Cabarita?

There is so much to explore in these areas. I love surfing, cycling and spending time at the beach. There are also great parks and playgrounds for the kids, as well as amazing award-winning cafes and restaurants to enjoy with family and friends.
